Meet Dave & Ben Rayner
Outside of work, both Dave and Ben are keen on the great outdoors, rarely found sitting still for long. They’re also both big sports fans, cheering on Bristol Bears Rugby whenever they get the chance.
Dave spends his summers racing pigeons and has won many prizes over the years, including the prestigious NFC National Ace Pigeon 2021 – for the highest overall points scored by any pigeon in the country. When he’s not waiting for his next feathered champion to return home, Dave’s other obsession is his lawn. While his wife tends to the flowers, Dave takes great pride (or perhaps a little too much pride, depending who you ask!) in keeping his lawn in pristine condition.
Ben, on the other hand, can often be found at his allotment in Burnham with his wife Sophie. Their plot has been praised as one of the ‘Best Kept’ on more than one occasion, and like his dad’s love of lawns, Ben’s dedication to his crops sits somewhere between passion and mild obsession!
